Why offices lease their copier — and what it costs with ASR
One payment. Machine, service, toner and pages, handled. Here is why leasing is how most ASR customers run their office, what it costs, and what to do if a lease is not available to you yet.
One number instead of four
Own a copier and you manage four separate costs: the machine, a service contract, toner orders and the repairs nobody budgeted for. Lease it through ASR and all four collapse into one flat monthly payment that doesn't move — and the machine is always under service, always stocked with toner, and replaced with a new one at the end of the term.
Everything in the payment
| Included in an ASR all-inclusive lease | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| The Kyocera machine | Current-generation TASKalfa or ECOSYS, delivered, installed and connected to your network |
| All service | Every service call, 2–4 hour business-hours response target, our own techs — no third party |
| All parts & maintenance | Drums, developers, fusers, maintenance kits — replaced as needed at no charge |
| All toner | Genuine Kyocera toner shipped as you need it; nothing to order or pay for separately |
| Page allowance | Included copies each month; overage billed at 1¢ B&W and 7¢ color — never more |
| Loaner coverage | If your machine is down waiting on a part, a loaner keeps your office working |
| Flat payment | Included-copy plans do not increase annually; your written quote is final |
| End of term | 90-day heads-up, upgrade to a new machine, hard drive wiped or removed when it leaves |
36, 39, 48 or 63 months
39 months
The balance most offices land on — a comfortable payment and a new machine roughly every three years.
48 or 63 months
Stretches the same machine over a longer term for the lowest monthly number; service and toner stay included the whole way.
36 months
For offices that want the newest hardware on the shortest cycle.
Every machine on this site shows its lease range. Open any model, pick Lease in the configurator, choose a term and volume, and your exact written quote follows within one business day.
Nobody gets turned away
New business, or credit still building? ASR offers a rental instead — from $250 a month with service, toner and 2,000 black & white pages included, no bank involved — and it converts to a lease on the published terms whenever you're ready. Prefer to own outright? Every purchase includes the first year of service, with an ASR Care Plan available after that.
Leasing — frequently asked
Why do most offices lease their copier instead of buying?
One flat monthly payment covers the machine, service, parts, toner and a page allowance, so there is nothing to budget for separately and no repair bill ever lands on your desk. Leasing also keeps cash in the business and puts a new machine in the office every term instead of running one until it fails.
What does an ASR all-inclusive lease include?
The Kyocera machine, delivery and network setup, all service calls with a 2-4 hour response target, all parts and maintenance kits, all toner, and an included page allowance. Copies beyond the allowance are billed at 1 cent black & white and 7 cents color. Included-copy plans do not increase annually.
How much is a copier lease with ASR?
New color machines lease from $125 a month and black & white from $150 a month, with service and toner included, plus sales tax, subject to credit approval. Your exact written quote arrives within one business day and is final.
What lease terms does ASR offer?
36, 39, 48 and 63 months. Longer terms lower the monthly payment; 39 months is the most common choice.
What if my business is too new to be approved for a lease?
ASR does not turn customers away. If a lease is not approved we offer a rental instead - from $250 a month with service, toner and 2,000 black & white pages included - and it converts to a lease whenever you are ready.
What happens at the end of the lease?
ASR gives you a heads-up 90 days before the term ends so you can choose: upgrade to a new machine on a fresh lease, continue, or return it. When a machine leaves your office ASR wipes or removes the hard drive.
